Community Climate Change Education at Kuntenasi

Climate Change has come to stay due to direct and indirect human activities. The burning of fossil fuel, refuse or waste, indiscriminate cutting down of trees, etc have been a major contributing factor to the emission of greenhouse gases. Rainfall, temperature, humidity pattern have changed which has resulted in the reduction in agricultural yield, outbreak of diseases, extinction of species that aren’t well adapted to these changes.

Daniel and his team of researchers and community volunteers embarked on climate change education in Kuntenasi, the Ashanti region of Ghana. The program aimed at enlightening the youth and farmers in Kuntenasi about the issues related to Climate Change and possible actions to be taken at the local level.

The program was insightful and eye-opening for the youth and farmers in the community.
