💧💧World Water Day💧💧

Happy World Water Day

Water is the pivot that anchors several human activities.

Water is essential in the life’s of every living being. It serves as a source of drinking water, habitat for aquatic organisms, essential component of photosynthesis in plants and other related human use like cooking, transportation, drinking etc.

Conserving and innovatively using water is important in solving most of the global water crises. Some countries are converting waste water into usable units, other countries are also using minimal or little recirculating water to advance agriculture and aquaculture.

It’s always expedient to be concerned with the conservation of local, regional, national and global waters for maximum benefit to humans, animals and other living organisms.

Farmers adaptation to Climate Change Project by Daniel K. Owusu

Strategic adaptation to Climate Change.

Climate Change and Climate Variability have been a major constraint to global development. Climate Change has been in existence for years now, however, the intensity of the current advocacy works and initiatives is due to the extent of the negative impacts from it. The energy sector, watershed sector, agriculture and the health sector are affected with the negative effects of climate change. This has caused the adoption of initiatives and strategies relevant to it’s adaptation.

The agriculture sector is one area that has been affected immensely by climate change and climate variability. There are incidences of insects proliferation, low crop yield, drought, flooding and premature ripening of fruits. This has lead to reduced income and food insecurity among households.

Experience @ YALI, RLC West Africa, Cohort 13 by Daniel K. Owusu

Life is full of opportunities but it requires determination and commitment to identify and realize them. On February 2018, Daniel had the chance to participate in the online session of YALI RLC, West Africa program. During the online session, I was exposed to lessons on leadership development, contemporary issues in Africa and Gender equality.

The leadership lesson enlightened me on serving as a leader and been of more results oriented person. I learnt the relevance of self building and identification. It is always important to know your strength and weakness. Knowing your weakness helps you to recruit the best members for your team and develop yourself as well. This is important in the life of every leader as it helps you to make effective career decisions and leadership roles.

Africa is faced with several basic and imminent issues which include terrorism, food insecurity, gender inequality and corruption. The contemporary issues lesson helped me to understand these issues from the global perspective and how it can be resolved at the local level. Moreover, the youth plays important role in nation building, therefore, building the leadership skills of youth in different communities will help develop not only the leader but also the community at large. Which will directly affect the way and life of the people in responding to issues of terrorism, food insecurity and gender inequality.

Furthermore, Daniel had the chance to participate in the onsite leadership training at YALI, RLC, West Africa – Ghana, Accra-GIMPA. During the training, Daniel joined approximately 100 participants from other African countries including Nigeria, Togo, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Liberian, Cameroon etc. The program was insightful coupled with cultural exchange, team building exercise, and presentations.

I learnt a great deal of lessons from the other participants and networked with as many participants as possible to establish long term relationship with them.

I was in the Civic Leadership Track where I learnt about social entrepreneurship and community engagement activities.

Community Climate Change Education at Kuntenasi

Climate Change has come to stay due to direct and indirect human activities. The burning of fossil fuel, refuse or waste, indiscriminate cutting down of trees, etc have been a major contributing factor to the emission of greenhouse gases. Rainfall, temperature, humidity pattern have changed which has resulted in the reduction in agricultural yield, outbreak of diseases, extinction of species that aren’t well adapted to these changes.

Daniel and his team of researchers and community volunteers embarked on climate change education in Kuntenasi, the Ashanti region of Ghana. The program aimed at enlightening the youth and farmers in Kuntenasi about the issues related to Climate Change and possible actions to be taken at the local level.

The program was insightful and eye-opening for the youth and farmers in the community.

Song launching on 12th August, 2018 entitled ” Turn me around” by Martin Fei

Turn me around

Martin Fei was brought up in a Christian musical home, a home of parental love and a foundation of the teachings of Christ. In all of these, He wavered a bit from what was taught at home as a child of God. He lived a life following the destructions of the world than what God wanted from him. Guess there is always a path God makes us take at times to understand how good is from sin. But God continuously blesses his children that they may find the light and salvation through Christ which in the midst of all his sinful habits, God still pulled him from the dirt. He has been a deep lover of all music genres since growing up and always had a natural and an amazing appreciation of hearing and understanding musical contents. This motivated him to join the children’s service choir through to the junior choir in his church and further went on to join his secondary school choir and other singing groups he found himself. This led to his ministering in some parts of Ghana and in the United Kingdom where he became a music director for Trinity Baptist in Slough. Turn me around carries a message of hope, assurance and an encouragement of a brighter future irrespective of the challenges that come our way in the journey of life. The song was greatly inspired by his life experiences and what he has seen in life, Both the good and the Bad times. Like an electrical gadget which requires both the positive and negative terminals to provide power, I strongly believe that both the good times and bad times in life work together to make us strong. The song was produced by Joe Wilson, The video was Directed by Martin Fei and the video was produced by Daniel Twum. Martin Fei is trusting God that, “Turn me around” will be of a major blessing to anyone who comes into contact with this song. He wants the song to impact positively in the lives of people by providing a source of hope in tough times. He also wants everyone to believe that God is capable of providing Exceedingly, abundantly above whatever we could ask for. Turn me around is scheduled to be released on 12th August 2018 at 3pm. The song will be available on all digital platforms.

Transforming Communities through Christian ministry

Sometime ago i was just roaming on campus and a friend came by and informed me about his intention of setting up a christian fellowship blog or site.

Though i like blogging but never thought his idea could touch my heart so deeply to fall for his plans. It took me a hard time in setting it up and publishing it as well but i realize that there are so many ways to help spread the gospel of God to the unbeliever .

I have no regret in helping my friend in the ministry. You can also visit this link @ http://www.captured4jesusu.wordpress.com for how God revealed to him about this CAPTURED FOR JESUS MINISTRY

I have a dream

Daniel Kwaku Owusu is an ambitious young man with the vision of transformation the natural resources and agriculture sector through technology.

I have a dream that all African youth will be self reliant and be innovative. My love for Africa is inordinate and I wish Africa will unite and be productive.

My thinking and actions define my personality and also endanger my career. Being careful and strategic in live truly pays.

One day, a time will come where people will mention my name and use me as a good reference for the future generation. That Daniel came, started, failed, rebuilt and eventually conquered.

I will leave a legacy, a legacy that will forever remains in the minds and hearts of the people.
